Extended family. When was the last time you took photos with them? Parents, siblings, nieces, nephews, parents, grandparents, even great grandparents? Most of us worry this time of year about taking family photos with just our immediate family (me included), but we often forget the extended pieces that truly make us who we are and remind us where we come from. Photographs are snapshots of a moment in time that we may never have again—priceless treasures.
My friend Courtney emailed me months ago about having photographs taken of her entire family. Nothing warms my heart more than seeing families together, playing, laughing, and smiling. Here are some snapshots from our session together.
When it comes down to it, family really IS everything—-if you haven’t taken a family portrait with your extended family, consider doing so—life is short—you never know what tomorrow will bring.
